OAP Reimbursement of Brighton School Fees

Brighton is pleased to offer support to families who receive OAP (Ontario Autism Program) funding. Brighton program fees; 1:1 support fees (if used); and BCBA consultation fees are receipted to families to submit for reimbursement under the OAP Program.

In order to qualify for OAP funding reimbursement, the students must be enrolled in our OAP Support Program, and the School’s BCBA (Board Certified Behaviour Analyst) must provide regular supervision to the student in school, ensuring that ABA practices are being used. Generally, an average of 4 – 6 hours per month of direct and indirect supervision by our BCBA is required to ensure program alignment with ABA goals and practices.

Direct supervision involves at least weekly observation of the student in classes. Indirect supervision includes ongoing data analysis; report writing; meetings with parents and staff; and ongoing training & coaching of support staff.

Adjunct home ABA support services are also available from our BCBA / support staff
