Brighton School will close at 12:45 on Monday, April 8 due to the Solar Eclipse event happening in the afternoon. The eclipse will occur in Toronto between 2:00 – 4:30, with the peak being at 3:21 Toronto time, which is right at regular dismissal time. As with most schools, we are closing out of an abundance of caution and concern to protect our students. We’d like our students and parents to be safely home before the event starts.
Please ensure you and your family are not looking directly at the sun. To safely view the Solar Eclipse, you can have either solar eclipse glasses, or you can DIY them! You can follow this step-by-step guide from the government HERE. All you need is a box!
